Generating Poor On-Site ContentCommon Mistakes

Yes, as I mentioned before. Webmasters usually don’t get penalized from poor site content. But they don’t rank as well from thin content. The best way in my opinion is to play safe. Compare the top 5 articles about the specific topic and create your own article manually from it.

Don’t waste time generating thin content, do it properly once and for all and don’t put all of your attention on link building thinking it’s the only factor to rank well.

Applying The Same Old Ranking Practices In SEO 2016

As you know, Google’s ranking algorithm is constantly changing. You’ll have to keep yourself updated if you want to be ahead of everyone in terms of ranking your site.

Backlinks was introduced in Google’s ranking algorithm back in 1998 and it’s true that Google’s algorithm does rely on the quality of the backlinks massively in ranking websites.

If a high authority site links to you, it means you’re considered a good website. That earns you some credit in Google’s eyes.

But now that social media platforms has been introduced, Google algorithm does not weight your site’s ranking as much based on backlinks. This will also strengthen white-hat and genuine way to rank your site. Google can now easily judge and rank your site based on your Facebook, Google+, Twitter and etc.Applying The Same Methods in SEO 2016

These social media platforms are like backlinks to your site. Except It gets stronger and stronger over time when you have more “likes”, shares” and others for your content.

This also mean that it’ll harder to fake the quality of your site’s backlinks due to these TRUSTED social networks. Also, after these social media platforms are introduced, Google has shifted their concentrated view from backlinks social signals.

So if you’re still desperately trying to rank your site with high quality backlinks, it won’t be as effective anymore.

Link Building, Don’t Neglect Them

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying backlinks are totally useless in SEO 2016. But pay more attention on social signals then backlinks. Backlinks are still a ranking factor and it’s important.

It certainly isn’t going to be enough by completely relying building backlinks. Having strong social signals and backlinks are part of a complete SEO link pyramid.

Forget About SEO, It Helps!

If you’ve been reading my tutorials, you could see that I’ve mentioned this before. Trust me, it works.

Think about it, if you really forget about SEO and concentrated on building a solid business through social media platforms.

I’ve tried it, did a case study on it too. Plainly, creating content and promoting it on social networks. Then driving social signals with it.

Google Will Improve, Always!

As you all know that SEO and link building does not always guarantee improve in rankings. So don’t get greedy using the fast way doing black-hat SEO.

Those ads saying “guarantee results” aren’t worth it.

Because I can guarantee you that Google will always be updating their ranking algorithm. Meaning they’re always getting better at detecting spams and any sort of suspicious SEO strategy behaviors.

This is not something introduced in SEO 2016, it has always been like this. Google has been constantly improving their algorithms for better user experience.

Does Your Site Deserve To Rank?

Everyone wants to improve their search ranking, why wouldn’t they? But here’s the thing, does your site really deserves to rank well? Why?

There’s a reason why thousands of people want to rank well and only a handful of them get there. It’s not all just about rich keyword density, keyword research and then trying to drive traffic to your adsense or affiliate link to get some sales out of it.

There’s no quick and easy out there. If you really want traffic driven to your site that converts well. You’ll need dedication and time, but people nowadays are so focused on trying to get their site to rank well as fast as possible and spend as little time as possible. You Are Your Rank For A Reason in SEO 2016

It just doesn’t work that way at all. For example, I’ve come across so many amazon affiliate sites. Webmasters will post product reviews up on site and then send traffic to it hoping for conversion and sales.

Don’t you think that people might as well buy these products directly from Amazon itself. Amazon have “Reviews” section too.

The proper way to do it is to manually publish 100% unique content to your site. Then set up price comparison tables to show customers the difference to further strengthen your site’s product content.

There’s so many more ways to add value in your site’s content easily. All you need is dedication and time.

SEO 2016 weighs heavily at on-site content quality and interface. It’s all about user experience. Making it as user-friendly as possible.

So Did SEO Actually Changed?

Okay, SEO did made lots of changes through its updates. But SEO did not exactly change. Confusing right?

You might say the Google’s algorithm and the way it ranks changed completely. But if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, SEO 2016 hasn’t change a thing about the definition of the traditional SEO.

Other than backlinks and social signals are looked at differently now. The basics of SEO are really still the same.

You’ll still be using the same on-page SEO tactics except you’re not allowed to do keyword cloaking and stuffing anymore. Because it’s considered as a black-hat SEO technique.

To put it in simple terms, Google generally ranks your site based on its user-friendliness and site authority. That’s all, basics are the same… they still look at your sitemap, robot.txt, H1, H2 tags and others.
