Yes, as I mentioned before. Webmasters usually don’t get penalized from poor site content. But they don’t rank as well from thin content. The best way in my opinion is to play safe. Compare the top 5 articles about the specific topic and create your own article manually from it.

Don’t waste time generating thin content, do it properly once and for all and don’t put all of your attention on link building thinking it’s the only factor to rank well.

Applying The Same Old Ranking Practices In SEO 2016

As you know, Google’s ranking algorithm is constantly changing. You’ll have to keep yourself updated if you want to be ahead of everyone in terms of ranking your site.

Backlinks was introduced in Google’s ranking algorithm back in 1998 and it’s true that Google’s algorithm does rely on the quality of the backlinks massively in ranking websites.

If a high authority site links to you, it means you’re considered a good website. That earns you some credit in Google’s eyes.

But now that social media platforms has been introduced, Google algorithm does not weight your site’s ranking as much based on backlinks. This will also strengthen white-hat and genuine way to rank your site. The proper way to do it is to manually publish 100% unique content to your site. Then set up price comparison tables to show customers the difference to further strengthen your site’s product content.

There’s so many more ways to add value in your site’s content easily. All you need is dedication and time.

SEO 2016 weighs heavily at on-site content quality and interface. It’s all about user experience. Making it as user-friendly as possible.

So Did SEO Actually Changed?

Okay, SEO did made lots of changes through its updates. But SEO did not exactly change. Confusing right?

You might say the Google’s algorithm and the way it ranks changed completely. But if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, SEO 2016 hasn’t change a thing about the definition of the traditional SEO.

Other than backlinks and social signals are looked at differently now. The basics of SEO are really still the same.

You’ll still be using the same on-page SEO tactics except you’re not allowed to do keyword cloaking and stuffing anymore. Because it’s considered as a black-hat SEO technique.

To put it in simple terms, Google generally ranks your site based on its user-friendliness and site authority. That’s all, basics are the same… they still look at your sitemap, robot.txt, H1, H2 tags and others.
